about

dot is my muse. she knows life is better with friends. she believes in Girl Power. she inspires me to find the beauty in all things and share it with others.

When I was a little girl, my mom and my grandma made me the most darling clothes. Grandma especially had a knack for putting the prettiest colors and prints together and adding just the right buttons and trims for an extra special touch that I always loved.

Some of my fondest memories are the hours and hours I spent making clothes and 'quilts' for my dolls, stuffed animals and pets with the leftover scraps, piecing together my own idea of pretty color combinations and details, meticulously sewing every stitch by hand. I'm pretty sure sewing was my first dabble at a long list of creative ventures; and here I am once again, making pretty things I love from scraps, castoffs, fragments and doodads.

I live in a tiny house in the woods in Portland, Oregon with my artist/photographer husband and our two cats, a deer family, squirrels, raccoons, and more songbirds than I can count, as well as a few hummingbirds for good luck.
